Franko Klisović is born in Šibenik, where he finished his elementary and higher musical education at the Ivan Lukačić music school in the class of prof. Gordana Pavić, department of piano and musical theory.
Whilst living in his home town he also worked as the organist at the cathedral of St. James in Šibenik. After graduating from high school he enrolls at the Music Academy in Zagreb, where he studies conducting in the class of mo. Tomislav Fačini and where he had his conducting debut in March 2019 conducting the performance of W. A. Mozart's opera „Cosi fan tutte“ and in May 2021. conducted the performance of J. Massenet’s opera “Cendrillon”.
He has won numerous awards in international vocal competitions like 3rd prize and the audience prize at the 4th international vocal competition “Premiere Opera Foundation + NYIOP” (NY, USA, 2020); 1st prize at the Tullio Serafin singing competition (Vicenza, IT, 2021) and the role of Farnace in Mozart’s Mitridate, re` di Ponto, with which he had made his debut at the Teatro Olimpico in September 2021; 2nd prize at the 27th Riccardo Zandonai competition for young opera singers (Riva del Garda, IT, 2021); 2nd prize, the award for the most beautifully performed song Ružičky at the 24th Mikulaš Schneider-Trnavsky (Trnava, SK, 2021); 2nd prize in the opera section and 1st prize in the sacred music section at the 4th international vocal competition San Colombano (Piacenza, IT, 2021). He is one of the winners of the Aria Borealis competition (Bodø, NO, 2022).
